Since their takeover last summer, Derby have flourished. Two years ahead of a three year plan to get back into the Premier League, they will be overstretched here. Still, the £60m will come in handy with rebuilding a side. Their expectation is to go back down, with fluking survival an outside chance. They've bought some okay players, but more geared towards winning the 2008-2009 Championship than surviving this season's Premier League. Still, they won't be the worst team in the league...

Why, in every comment you've made on your site about Derby County, is it only half to a quarter of the length that any other teams comments are?
I believe it would be better to just not write about them at all, than put in a two line report on their match against pompey, in which two goals were scored in the last 6 minutes.
Whats even more annoying is the coverage you give to man u - reading, and sunderland - spurs, which were both dire dire dire, and not to mention dire, games.
Anyway, ill let you get on, my views dont matter anyhow!
Karan,
Thanks for the comment; nice to see someone reading it and analysing it.
In defence of your points...
1) I didn't really have anything more to say about Derby in the Preview; I guess I could rewrite it in a more flowery style... As far as I can see, they're ahead of their game by a couple of seasons, and by Billy Davies own admissions, they see staying up as a miracle.
2) Sorry, I only saw the highlights for the Derby-Portsmouth match, and had to sit through the Sunderland-Spurs and Man U-Reading games, which I think describing as "dire dire dire" is a bit positive, if anything...
Again, thanks for your comments, and your views do matter. I have no bias against Derby; in fact, I've got a fondness for them, and would love to see them stay up.
